This article intends to highlight Educating for Fraternal Humanism in opposition to the growing neo-fascism in Brazilian society. In order to do so, it will firstly contextualize the Brazilian situation, especially in regards to schooling, for an understanding of the rise of neo-fascism; emphasizing an extreme situation that demands rethinking and a new educational praxis. From a Freirean perspective, it sets in motion a utopian announcement of an education focused on a humanizing process, with Educating for Fraternal Humanism, which potentializes an education committed to dialogue and to reconciliation, so that schooling explicitly assumes its role in combating barbarism. The research has a qualitative approach of a bibliographic nature, with a theoretical framework based on the Global Compact on Education, in Paulo Freire and Theodor Adorno.
