The objective of this article is to present the construction process of teaching-learning situations inserted in a context of construction of a biodigester, on a reduced scale, in a public school in Foz do Iguaçu-PR. Among the main results, we highlight the establishment of protocols for experimental classes in the laboratory at the school, the organization of students into task groups and the increase in theoretical-practical classes given by the school's teachers. The program also made it possible for the extension workers to play a fundamental role in the entire process of building the biodigester, as well as in the practices.
