Resumo

Este artigo apresenta o Mecanismo Inovador de Desenvolvimento Limpo do G20 (G20 CDIM), uma estrutura estratégica que visa acelerar os esforços globais de mitigação por meio de uma solução economicamente estruturada, baseada na ciência e na diplomacia para permitir o processamento e o financiamento de projetos de mitigação, a aceleração do pipeline de projetos e o aumento do tamanho e das ambições do projeto. Sua estrutura se baseia em três pilares fundamentais: a) o Plano de Metas Voluntárias; b) o estabelecimento de um Fundo de Investimento e c) a Plataforma para Mitigação Intensiva que integra efetivamente o compromisso voluntário, a solidez financeira e a seleção de projetos estratégicos para impulsionar a mitigação em larga escala e por meio de contribuições significativas para as metas de mitigação e o desenvolvimento sustentável de forma objetiva entre os principais investidores/acionistas.
