Os países emergentes na política internacional: O grupo next eleven (n-11) e as convergências com a política externa brasileira

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa um conjunto de países emergentes, conhecidos como “pequenos Brics” ou Next Eleven (Egito, Indonésia, Irã, México, Nigéria, Paquistão, Filipinas, Coréia do Sul, Turquia, Vietnã e Bangladesh). Considerando população, modernização e crescimento do PIB, há expectativa de uma presença cada vez maior destes países no cenário internacional, com possibilidade de superar economicamente os países do G-7 nas próximas décadas. Assim, este é um estudo exploratório das oportunidades que a ascensão destes países intermediários podem oferecer para o Brasil. Como metodologia, realiza um estudo crítico da caracterização do Next Eleven (originado no Banco Goldman Sachs) e uma breve discussão teórica da atuação internacional dos países intermediários. Por fim, realiza um levantamento preliminar do posicionamento da política externa destes países, em comparação com o Brasil.
