Abstract
Theorists of poetics move often poetry closer to mysticism, while put the poet apart from the mystic. They affirm the poet meditates on externals and the mystic on the interiority, but experts claim that there isn’t in the great mystics the division between spiritual pursuit and contemplation of materiality. However, mystics seek supersensible experience. Therefore, it may be more relevant to examine the similarities between poetry and magic. Throughout the history of poetics, they are plentiful.
