Abstract

This article offers an analysis from the feminist biblical critique of the patriarchal roots of biblical hermeneutics covering two moments: the patriarchal processes in the selection and canonization of the Scriptures and the patriarchal interpretative models of the early interpreters called "fathers of the church" in the patristic-medieval historical period. Situates in the contemporary feminist hermeneutical proposals, the goal is to analyze the biblical hermeneutics of the early centuries of the Christian Church by highlighting the patriarchal roots of the interpretative tradition that shaped biblical theology and its effects on women's lives. The text intends to contribute to the theoretical dialogue in the field of biblical interpretation and feminist biblical studies aimed at overcoming patriarchal interpretative models.
