THE READER-EXERCISER approximations between the ricoeurian imagination and the ignatian contemplation

Abstract
This article proposes to demonstrate that there is a correlation between the Ricoeurian imagination, present in Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic philosophy and the mystagogy of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola (EE) that occurs through a proper method of reading and contemplation of biblical texts. In this way, the reader (in the Ricoeurian sense) and the exerciser (in the Ignatian sense) would be performing an interpretive activity through reading, but through disparate optics, namely one philosophical and the other spiritual. If it is during reading that hermeneutics is performed, it is also in the narrative language in which one reads oneself. And if interpretation is hermeneutic, it is precisely here that we employ the Ricoeurian imagination in a dialogical approach to Ignatian contemplation.
