JESUS AND ZACCHAEUS a meeting based on places of rhetoric argumentation

Abstract
This work aims to carry out a rhetorical analysis about the places of argument that founded the theological discourse in the gospel according to Luke 19: 1-10. This biblical text presents the meeting between the speaker Jesus Christ and the publican Zacchaeus. Thus, Rhetoric is understood as the use of argumentative techniques that aim to persuade; Theological discourse means the use of texts extracted from books considered sacred about God. Theological discourse takes the Bible as a textual support, considered a book of significant importance for Christianity. Methodologically, the work is affiliated to a qualitative perspective of rhetorical analysis and is based on Abreu (2009), Aristóteles (2011), Ferreira (2015), Meyer (2007), Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca (2014), Reboul (2004), Rocha (2020a, 2020b) works, among others. From the rhetorical analysis, it was found that the places of argument were decisive for the act of persuading in the highlighted theological text. It was noticed that the speaker Jesus Christ used these rhetorical resources (argumentative places) to gain confidence and persuade the publican Zacchaeus.
