THE POSSIBILE BASIS OF THE THIRD THOMASIC WAY AND ITS RELATION TO DIVINE ETERNITY
Main Article Content
Abstract
Thomas, when elaborating his third way, starts from the existence of beings that suffer from dynamic generation and corruption, that is, of contingent beings; it passes through timeless beings, that is, unharmed by temporal passage; until obtaining the assertion of the existence of the necessary being by itself. This last inference is one of the arguments used by Thomas to assert that God is eternal. Thus, in the face of such assertions, first, it will be reflected on the possibility that time is the basis of the third thomasic way. Secondly, it will be investigated about a possible relationship of the mentioned Thomas test with the divine attribute of eternity
