Abstract
O artigo responde a duas séries de questões. Por um lado: Que é Filosofia da Religião? Quais são suas principais modalidades? Como surgiram no curso do pensamento filosófico ocidental? Qual o seu lugar sistemático e histórico no conjunto da reflexão filosófica? Por outro lado, trata-se de esboçar um quadro da problemática religiosa no pensamento filosófico contemporâneo, seja no âmbito anglo-americano, seja no contexto europeu continental. Na conclusão, o autor aponta as características mais evidentes do pensar filosófico atual a respeito de Deus e da religião.
