Abstract
O processo de secularização moderno, que certamente trouxe benefícios consideráveis, não raro nutriu, de acordo com a expectativa de muitos, a convicção de que a religião seria cada vez mais marginalizada ou quem sabe desaparecesse completamente. Mas foi exatamente isso que não aconteceu. Da perspectiva de Habermas, coloca-se um complexo de problemas bem determinado, que torna necessário refletir de um modo novo sobre a relação entre a sociedade e a religião, a saber, o desenvolvimento das biociências.
