Abstract

Na primeira parte deste estudo, analisamos as funções causais da Idéia do Bem na imagem do sol (Rep. 505a-509b), tentando esclarecê-la pela descrição de seu aspecto metafórico – pelo qual o sol é filho (ekgonon) do Bem – e analógico, pelo qual o sol é semelhante (analogon) ao Bem. Na segunda parte do texto, analisamos a condição ontológica da Idéia do Bem, que está para além do ser e da essência, causa do ser das Idéias e do seu conhecimento.
