Abstract
A partir de um insight produzido pela leitura de texto de Rubem Alves, procuro neste
ensaio trazer a discussão sobre o valor do sagrado tanto em termos da tradição antropológica
brasileira sobre a questão quanto em termos dos impasses produzidos a partir
dos novos movimentos religiosos contemporâneos, de modo suficiente a provocar uma
reflexão sobre a natureza do esforço intelectual envolvido nessa busca.
