Abstract
A presente investigação visa oferecer uma melhor compreensão do papel da consulta oracular antes de grandes empreendimentos, em particular o grande movimento expansionista grego, que se desenvolveu em direção ao Ocidente a partir do século VIII a.C. Com isso, propomos dar uma contribuição: a uma melhor compreensão da sociedade e cultura no Ocidente Grego; a um melhor conhecimento do culto de Apolo; a uma melhor compreensão das razões da escolha dessa divindade como emblema cívico.
