Abstract
Comunidade é uma categoria central para a filosofia nos últimos quarenta
anos: Thomas Kuhn e Alasdair MacIntyre, em suas obras mais conhecidas,
remetem a um tipo de consideração sociológica. Suas pesquisas, em duas
disciplinas bem distintas, revelam como a história das ciências e o debate
sobre moral não podem prescindir do comportamento de cientistas e agentes
sociais, reunidos em seu ambiente de trabalho e no lugar onde vivem. Este
artigo pretende aproximar as reflexões propostas e desencadeadas pelos dois filósofos, em busca de algum elemento comum à disputa dos paradigmas entre os cientistas e a refundação de uma ética das virtudes, para a sociedade contemporânea.
