Abstract
RESUMO
O artigo apresenta um estudo sobre o limiar entre a doença mental e o dom espiritual e analisa a sutileza e a subjetividade com que operam mecanismos do senso comum e instituições que julgam sobre a veracidade dos fenômenos espirituais. O ponto de partida deste estudo é o ‘caso de Hilda’ – cuja experiência será relatada e analisada desde parâmetros da psicologia da religião, da psicologia existencial e fenomenológica de J. L. Moreno e Frankl e comparada com outros estudos de caso da área. O texto apresenta as implicações no que tange ao sofrimento imputado ao sujeito a partir de diagnósticos médicos e psicológicos, exclusões sociais e religiosas.

ABSTRACT
The paper presents a study on the threshold between mental illness and the spiritual gift and analyzes the subtlety and subjectivity with which the mechanisms of common sense and institutions that judge about the veracity of the spiritual phenomena operate. The starting point of this study is the 'case of Hilda' - whose experience will be reported and analyzed from the psychology of religion parameters, the existential and phenomenological psychology parameters of J. L. Moreno and Frankl and compared with other case studies in the area. The text presents the implications in relation to the suffering attributed to the subject from medical and psychological diagnoses, social and religious exclusion.
