BODY AND VULNERABILITY pathways of post-modern theology
Main Article Content
Abstract
: In taking the Christian event as a testimony to the happy encounter between God and man, in the person of Jesus, Theology has the continuous task of bringing such enlightenment into the dialogue with each age and its realities. And, in a sense, even with its limitations, which are not few, postmodernity has its special appeals for those who seek to deepen Christian humanism. How to proclaim God's infinite mercy in times of bodily vulnerability? In fact, what before, in the decline of modernity, could be configured as a rational decline, a transition from strong reason to weak reason, today the marks of human fragility are inscribed on your own body. If this vulnerability is configured as an open encounter with finitude, overcoming structures of selfishness, then there will be the possibility of registering itself as a privileged place in postmodern theology. An important contribution to theology in contemporary times was that of Paul Ricoeur, through his approach to narrative.
