The goal of the following essay consists in critically analyzing the current crisis in education, that is present in Brazilian schools and refers to the formative process of the subject as an intellectual. The justification of this theme lies in the fact that it has become pertinent in current times once the classroom environment is basically constituted by marketplace logic. Therefore, we have the amplification of the commendation of the business person mentality and the depreciation of the intellectual subject. What prevails would be the formative process for the marketplace, which prepares an individual for a network environment; in other words: the valid aspects would be those related to visibility and to the amplification of this associates network in professional relationships, or simply a contact network. In methodological terms, to investigate this theme, it was necessary to seek the amplification of listening to educational issues, in which to seek the debanalization of the professional formative process concept to the marketplace. The central question would then be: how does one build the formative process of a subject as an intellectual, in the presence of individuals that are indifferent to school culture? Our conclusion is that: in a society of marketplace supremacy, social media networks present themselves as an intensely satisfying environment to the exposition of images and sounds, and that, on a major scale, constitute the poor way in which the subjects think their world.
