The perceptions of teachers and students about the integration of the mobile phones into the teaching and learning process in the development of investigative skills

We live in the age of information and knowledge, in which digital resources and the internet have changed the way we produce access and use information, thus promoting socio-economic and educational development, as well as innovation and competitiveness. In this context, intend to identify the perceptions of teachers and students about the integration the mobile phone in the teaching-learning process, describe the investigative skills developed and explain the contribution of this integration to the development of these skills. This was a qualitative study, as it aimed to understand social phenomenon in a concise way. The data was analyzed in three phases: pre-analysis, exploration and treatment of results, which allowed us to make a more detailed, interpretation of the study. In addition, the study used books, scientific articles already published in magazines, journals and newspapers to support the literature review. The results point, to distraction and a lack of mastery and use of digital tools. However, they recognize that the mobile phone stimulates critical, reflective thinking and autonomy in learning. With regard to investigative skills, the results indicate the development of literacy, the creation of digital content and the resolution real problems. Finally, it appears that, when used intelligently, cell phone can contribute to socio-economic, political and cultural development and promote quality Teaching-Learning Process.
