Sanda as a pedagogical tool in the social training of minor offenders

Abstract

The project “Sanda: Martial philosophy forming citizens”, registered at the Extension Laboratory of the State University of Paraná – UNESPAR, consists of an extension project whose proposal was twofold, that is, at first, through theoretical- practice, working citizenship in the light of Sanda. In the second moment, still through Sanda, guarantee socialization for teenagers, especially those who present social vulnerability those in conflict with the law. The work was developed by the Chinese martial art school Boxe Chinês Top Team, at the Corpo em Ação academy, in the city of União da Vitória. The objective of the project, through this ancient martial art, was to work with teenagers and young people on the values ​​of citizenship and human dignity. The methodology used was participant observation, documented through a field diary. The results, from its practice, were improvements in school participation, full compliance with socio-educational measures and participation in events in the modality, resulting in awards.
