Abstract

This article proposes a reflection exercise on the notions of globalization/worldliness and its interface with communicative processes, especially in organizational contexts. More specifically, it stems from confrontations resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic that brought out differences in socio-economic, political and cultural conditions in each place, marked and evidenced by the notion of regionalities. The pandemic was worldwide, affecting all territories of the globe, but not homogeneously. In this sense, the understanding of regionality as a complex of relationships that gain distinct characteristics and mark the communicative processes gives a look that leads us to think of it as an analytical category for organizational communication, capable of offering possible readings to the ways in which interactions and meanings in dispute are shaped in different contexts.
