The way the social world changes is related with the media. Having this background, this paper reviews the literature about changes in capitalism, how these are represent in business management, and how this is evidenced in business media. The object of analysis is the magazine HSM Management through the covers and editorials of 4 editions. The results show the relationship between media and social, Brazilian and American business media, the reinforcement of certain practices from a discourse of "gurus" and how some changes in management, which represent changes in capitalism, appear in these media.
