Journalism has been crucial in offering the Brazilian population accurate information about the Coronavirus in a context of denial of science by public authorities. Despite this, it is not exempt from the reproduction of prejudices, even in the coverage of the pandemic. This work demonstrates the relationship between fatphobia and the media, in general, and journalistic coverage in specific, since it uses the stereotypes of the fat persons and their body to talk about Covid, the quarantine period and the search for a vaccine on their agenda. Bibliographic, exploratory, netnographic and content analysis research is used in a proposal to monitor journalistic coverage and media criticism with a focus on health.
