This article presents an analysis of the verbal-visual discourse of 15 covers of Veja magazine, during the first half of 2020, referring to the coverage of the new coronavirus. The objective is to verify how the publication presents the pandemic, from which discursive strategies, contributing to the construction of a point of view on the subject. We noticed that Veja mixes an alarmist tone of danger with a positive tone that search for solutions, defending social isolation, the use of reason, common sense and science.
