Abstract

When the construction of the news is verified as a moment of mediation of the vehicle with the public, it is possible to understand that there are many variables that make up the selection made by journalists and the other subjects involved. Through a literature review, this article aims at analyzing the journalistic event as a chain of forces and as a dispositif that triggers symbolic dimensions when dealing with lines of flight, tensions, dispute and negotiation in relationships, mainly, of power. In this scenario, it is concluded that journalistic sources are important elements to understand communication paradigms, considering the dynamics of journalistic practice.

Maria Ângela Mattos

Ex-professora de Graduação e de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação Social. Coordenadora do grupo de pesquisa Campo Comunicacional e suas Interfaces (CNPq). Integrante da rede de pesquisadores dos grupos de pesquisa dos PPGCom da UFMG, PUC Minas e UFOP.
