Abstract

The conversations established on Veja magazine page on Facebook are analyzed in the context of the Brazilian political and economic crisis. To this end, comments produced in posts referring to the crisis between the years 2015 and 2016 are selected. The development of the analysis starts from ethnomethodology and its approach on the analysis of the conversation as methodological contributions, observing contextual issues, the meanings produced in the conversations and the methods or cultural grammars used. The reflections undertaken point to the crisis as a condition of possibility for the outbreak of conflicts and emotions that are based on anger and hatred, constituting a narrative of the damage, and indicating other forms of coexistence and sociability with regard to Brazil.
