This article explores possibilities for theoretical and methodological convergences and tensions between Trend Studies and the emerging field of Mood Studies to understand the phenomenon known as the "nostalgia boom" in contemporary times. It takes as its reference point the critical thought that highlights the hyper-aestheticization of everyday life (Welsh, 2021) as a phenomenon that privileges sensitivity, feelings, and "vibe" in discursive constructions and new forms of identity production for the transmission of experiences that transcend language (Vujosvic, 2019). Based on a review of academic literature and the principles of Critical Narrative Analysis (Motta, 2013) on media coverage texts regarding corecore aesthetics, the text points to new aesthetic movements on the Internet as carriers of reflection and orientation of practices towards new reparative potentialities for social well-being.
