Geopolítica del conocimiento antártico del Reino Unido en el siglo XXI

This article examines the geopolitics of UK Antarctic scientific knowledge about Antarctica in the 21st century, using the following sources from British institutions: Foreign Office, British Antarctic Survey, Antarctic Place Names Committee, Scott Polar Research Institute, UK Antarctic Heritage Trust and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. The results are organized into two axes. Firstly, the political-institutional, in which the articulations at the domestic level of British institutions related to Antarctica are presented. And secondly, the academic-scientific one, in which the participation of British universities in international university rankings was examined and within this framework, the scientific journals edited by Cambridge University Press & Assessment, specialized in Antarctic issues. And in relation to the latter, the composition of its Editorial Committees and the origin of authors (institutional and geographical). This work aims to show how UK institutions influence the contemporary geopolitics of Antarctic knowledge.
