Intervenção, conflitos étnicos e fronteiras porosas: um panorama das relações Quênia-Somália no pós-2011

O presente artigo busca realizar uma análise acerca dos desdobramentos regionais da incursão militar queniana na Somália iniciada em 2011. Objetiva-se realizar um estudo sobre os condicionantes regionais e globais que influenciaram a ação, bem como uma abordagem crítica dos seus resultados. Para isso, serão levados em conta dados que elucidem alguns reflexos diretos da intervenção, em especial o crescimento da atuação do grupo extremista Al-Shabaab não somente na Somália, mas também no próprio Quênia. Ao final, constata-se a intensificação de um conflito religioso e sectário na região do Chifre da África que pode comprometer a estabilidade e a segurança locais. Ademais, será evidenciada a ideia de que a doutrina estadunidense da Guerra ao Terror e o apoio de Washington a Nairóbi servira como incentivo à intervenção, mostrando-se útil a um interesse geopolítico histórico do Estado queniano e, dessa forma, peça chave no entendimento da insegurança construída.
