The paper examines the diplomatic documents about the Brazilian foreign policy under the Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira’s administration face the Cuban revolution. The documentation was consulted in the archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The diplomatic sources offer new insights about actions, perceptions, and interpretations of Brazilian policy makers on Cuban, hemispheric and global affairs.
