Abstract
The contact of Christianity with the culture of its time resulted in what is known today as the hellenization of christianity. This study aims to analyze this phenomenon in the writings of Ignatius of Antioch, one of the most important Christian writers of the beginning of the second century. The focus is to highlight this relationship from the analysis of chapter 9 of the epistle that he sent to the community of Christians in Thralia, in which he seems to express a cosmological vision very close to that found in ancient Greek poetry. Therefore, a study of the pericope in question was carried out, focused on highlighting the existing linguistic and conceptual parallels.
