ILLNESS AND LIVING SPIRITUALITY: a case study of a person without religion from Marià Corbi Axiological Epistemology

Abstract
Research on spirituality and health has been of great value for the understanding of how this relationship occurs and how it can be part of the daily life of multidisciplinary health teams and their patients. In this context, questions arise as to whether it is possible to cultivate spirituality in patients who call themselves non-religious, spirituality from the point of view of the epistemologist Marià Corbí: Human Quality and Deep Human Quality. The present paper aims to present a case study on the experience of spirituality of a patient in palliative care. We bring to this communication a preliminary qualitative analysis, based on the Axiological Epistemology of Marià Corbí, considering the information collected in an individual interview. A relevant point is the patient's search for studies developed focusing on lung cancer - ALK-positive NSCLC, the patient's primary site. This work reaffirms the need to search for empirical studies to provide us with knowledge about spirituality, highlighting the need for training of the entire multidisciplinary team in relation to the theoretical and practical basis for decision making facing the complexity of the area.
