Abstract
Yehuda Ha-Levi foi um pensador judeu medieval. Embora seja considerado por alguns estudiosos um filósofo no âmbito do neoplatonismo, sua única obra que apresenta conteúdos filosóficos é o Kitab al Khazari/Sefer ha Kuzari, na qual desfila sérias críticas à filosofia de seu tempo e uma defesa incondicional da religião judaica frente às suas concorrentes. De fato, Ha-Levi é mais um poeta religioso que um filósofo, mas, sem dúvida, um dos mais importantes poetas do judaísmo medieval. Neste artigo é discutida a questão do conhecimento e da visão direta de Deus na poesia de Yehuda Ha-Levi, com breves alusões também ao tratamento do tema na obra Kitab al-Khazari,
