Abstract
O objetivo do presente artigo é analisar, por meio de uma leitura detalhada da obra Temor e tremor de Kierkegaard, a conflituosa relação entre fé e razão e alguns dos eventuais questionamentos sobre a possibilidade de sobrevivência da razão numa perspectiva fideísta. Por meio do conhecido episódio bíblico do sacrifício de Isaque por Abraão e do silêncio deste diante da ordem divina, o autor pseudonímico de Kierkegaard, Johannes de Silentio, louva a fé como uma paixão e exalta-a como o que há de mais paradoxal. Haveria nesta obra kierkegaardiana tanto fideísmo como se pode imaginar? A ética ou a racionalidade seriam sacrificadas em nome da fé? O uso de um pseudônimo possui alguma intencionalidade na obra do autor dinamarquês? Em outras palavras, estas são algumas das questões que este trabalho se propõe discutir.
