Resumo

Le champ de recherche « spiritualité et santé » connaît un développement important depuis une trentaine d’années. Cet article aborde la question des enjeux éthiques et épistémologiques du recours au concept de « spiritualité » dans le contexte de la maladie grave. Une partie des résultats et de la méthodologie de la thèse doctorale de Nicolas PUJOL réalisée en France entre 2011 et 2014 auprès de 20 patients aux prises avec des cancers dits avancés y est présentée. Les questions suivantes sont soulevées : faut-il parler de spiritualité dans l’hôpital ? Comment le faire dans le contexte de la recherche scientifique ? Quels sont les écueils éthiques à éviter ?
