Abstract

A contribuição de Mattoso Câmara Jr. para a Historiografia Linguística é apresentada neste trabalho, através da análise de sua História da lingüística, tal como foi publicada na tradução brasileira de 1975. O original, em inglês, foi produzido pelo Autor, como parte de uma experiência docente na Universidade de Washington, em 1962.
