ABSTRACT
Osman Lins’ A Rainha dos Cárceres da Grécia (1976) is undoubtedly one of the books that best address different aspects of literary reading. This book, in which the narrator writes, in a diary, comments on a novel never published, reflects on the interpretation and the important role of the reader in the literary work. The purpose of this paper is to show how, by approaching a more creative and identity conception of the act of reading, the book has repercussions on the teaching of literature, dialoguing with subjective reading, a French theoretical approach that proposes to re-signify the literary text at school.
