Workarounds as subversive experiences, embodied knowledge, distributed agency and ordinary affections. Our intention is to discuss workarounds in pandemic times, projected, mainly, as strategies of Covid-19 preventive care. By using the concept of “verbvisual text” (ABRIL, 2007), we think of workarounds as objects that promote textual networks, technologies that are seen and, at the same time, look back at us. At first, we will discuss how such objects can be seen as technologies that challenge the logical operators of coloniality, modernity and capitalism. Then, based on case studies, we will think about workarounds in relation to the very conformation of Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the Brazilian context.
