The article investigates the aesthetic transformations that the language of the music video is undergoing in the context of platforms, starting from the conventions established in its television period of existence. The central hypothesis is that networked musical audiovisualities act as visual leitmotifs that structure a specific narrative mode linked to the language of the music video and the notion of the musical persona. To this end, the research articulates concepts of narrative, performance and transmedia storytelling, analyzing how the presence of the musical persona shapes the events staged and narrated in their audiovisualities. Methodologically, the approach combines audiovisual analysis and the observation of discourses that gravitate around Beyoncé's performance.
