Simulations and Pop Culture as tools to teach International Relations

Resumen

El presente artículo presenta y discute las posibilidades derivadas de la utilización del instrumental de aprendizaje activo en los cursos de Relaciones Internacionales en Brasil. Mas específicamente, aborda el uso de las dos estrategias que enriquecerían el proceso de aprendizaje. Estas son el resultado de la combinación del recurso a materiales de lectura non tradicionales, con énfasis en elementos de la cultura popular, y el desenvolvimiento de simulaciones y juegos en salón de clase. Estos elementos complementarían la enseñanza tradicional al menos en dos puntos: En primer lugar, por presentar situaciones familiares a los estudiantes y, en segundo, por iniciarse a partir del estimulo al desenvolvimiento de la habilidad de solución de problemas basado en un conocimiento constituido. Finalmente, por construir conexiones significativas entre lo que es estudiado y la realidad que rodea a los estudiantes. De este modo, sugerimos que estos
recursos posibilitan y facilitan la constitución de un ambiente pedagógico con resultados duraderos y, por consecuencia, la oferta de herramientas màs eficientes para el aprendizaje del alumno.
