Abstract

This work presents a documentary theater experiment about the life story of Maria Dionísia do Nascimento Martinho, Dona Chica, a rural woman born in the 1930s. The biodrama serves as a medium through which oral narrative is explored and the subjectivity of the protagonist is revealed to the audience. We use the perspective of the Communicational Event to document memories that intertwine contemporary issues related to rural work, experiences of pregnancy and motherhood, and contributions to the preservation of collective memory, aiming to sensitize and transform the reader. Through poetic, sensitive, and metaphorical writing, also inspired by "Escrevivência," we seek to visualize emotions and experiences that transcend the individual to represent shared stories of other women.
