This paper aims to analyze evidences of decolonial turn and border thinking, as understood by Walter Mignolo and Madina Tlostanova (2009), in the non-fiction book Banzeiro òkòtó: uma viagem à Amazônia Centro do Mundo, by the Brazilian journalist Eliane Brum (2021). It is based on the methodology of the Pragmatic Analysis of Journalistic Narrative, by Luiz Gonzaga Motta (2010), to promote a dialogue between epistemological concepts of sociology and journalism. The author concludes that Brum’s work advances, with a certain degree of ineditism, in the decolonial sense.
